Lectures Now On
Volunteer Storytelling Activities (June 2026 - 12 Sessions)
This month's theme is "Summer Pages, Breezy Books: Long Days, Slow Reading, Calm Hearts." Selected picture book stories full of childlike fun and festive atmosphere include "Watermelon Swimming Pool," "Dragon Boat Festival Fragrant Zongzi," "Making Zongzi," "A Summer Night Too Good to Sleep," "The Story of the Dragon Boat Festival," and "May Fifth: Dragons Emerge from the Water," totaling 12 sessions. The stories incorporate the Dragon Boat Festival, life education, character development, nature observation, and emotional companionship. Through the warm and detailed storytelling of volunteers, children are guided to explore imagination and learn through stories.
On June 6 (Saturday) from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, a special Hakka-language storytelling session "Little Tiger Celebrates the Dragon Boat Festival" is arranged. By combining the Hakka language with festival stories, children can experience their mother tongue culture in a relaxed and natural atmosphere and appreciate the beauty of the Hakka language. The stories convey festive customs and cultural meanings, adding reading fun and helping local culture take root.
Infants and toddlers aged 0-5, kindergarteners, and lower elementary school students are welcome to attend freely with their parents. Through lively and interactive storytelling by volunteers, children are guided to develop reading interest, improve language expression and concentration, and create warm memories during parent-child reading time.
