"Verklarte Nacht" Counterpoint Exquisite Chamber Music Series

The Counterpoint Chamber Ensemble will center on Schoenberg's classic "Verklarte Nacht" to create a musical dialogue spanning a century. They have specially invited composer Lin Chia-ying (林佳瑩) to create the micro-opera "Under the Moonlight," to be sung by soprano Wang Chiao-i (王喬怡) and baritone Li Su (李蘇). They have also commissioned Lin Ying-ting (林盈婷) to create "Island Tango" for bandoneon, to be performed by musician Wu Yung-lung (吳詠隆). This is a chamber music feast blending dramatic tension and exquisite sound, leading the audience to explore the boundaries of humanity and the sublimation of emotions in love.
