Twilight Emerges: Brahms and the Muse
This concert takes as its theme Brahms's rediscovery of creative inspiration in his later years after meeting clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld and cellist Robert Hausmann, presenting three chamber music classics. Performed by NSO principal clarinet Lai Chun-yen (賴俊諺) and Taiwan-born American-based pianist Wang Pei-yao (王佩瑤), through the dialogue of clarinet, cello, and piano, it showcases the restrained yet profound mature charm of Brahms's works. Suitable for fans of Romantic-era chamber music who wish to experience the master's sincere emotions in his twilight years.
