Tolstoy's Playlist
The concert "Tolstoy's Playlist" draws inspiration from the musical emotions described in the writings of the great literary master Tolstoy, presenting a profound reflection between literature and music. Cellist Wu Yi-chen (吳宜臻) and musicians from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University will jointly perform three significant chamber music works spanning the German-Austrian and Russian traditions: Beethoven's "Kreutzer Sonata," Shostakovich's "Cello Sonata in D minor," and Tchaikovsky's "Piano Trio in A minor." The audience will experience a cross-temporal artistic dialogue and soulful resonance within the exquisite symphony of chamber music.
