The Lost and Found Office of Forgetful Island (忘忘島的失物招領處)

Entering its tenth year, the Huashan Parent-Child Performing Arts Festival (華山親子表藝節) this year adopts the curatorial concept of 'Opening a Book,' with five parent-child programs taking turns at the Wumei Theater (烏梅劇院). Closing the festival is the brand-new work The Lost and Found Office of Forgetful Island by the MIT Animal Orchestra (米特動物樂園). Due to the enthusiastic response to the first round of ticket sales, with two months still to go before the show, all 11 performances have already sold out. The team recently announced an additional 20 seats per performance, bringing the total seats to over 2,300.

This year's new production, The Lost and Found Office of Forgetful Island, marks a significant breakthrough in the MIT Animal Orchestra's recent creations. In addition to continuing the feature of combining live performance with theater, it introduces musical instruments beyond the saxophone for the first time. Through a more diverse instrumental arrangement, new animal characters, and a story world, it creates a richer theater experience for children and offers more varied possibilities for 'a child's first concert.'

Coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Huashan Parent-Child Performing Arts Festival, MIT founder Chen Kuan-wen (陳冠文) said: 'What is most gratifying is not just that MIT's works are supported, but that Taiwan's parent-child theater has accompanied an entire generation of children as they grow up, and has also accompanied many families as they grow together.'

The Lost and Found Office of Forgetful Island has received enthusiastic support from audiences since its release, with all 11 performances selling out during the early bird period. Amid continued audience demand and anticipation, the MIT Animal Orchestra will open additional seats on July 20, adding 20 seats per performance for a total of 220 seats, allowing more families to enter the theater and bring their children to their first concert.
