The Fairy Sword and Liu-li

"The Fairy Sword and Liu-li" is the annual fantasy adventure Puppet Theater production by the Yunlin Wuzhou Hsiao T'ao-yuan Palm Puppet Troupe. The story follows the protagonist Liu-li as she embarks on a journey to find her mother, awakens mysterious powers amidst adversity, and faces the prying of unknown forces lurking in the shadows, unfolding an adventure of emotional ups and downs and intertwined destinies. The performance combines the delicate oral narration art of lead performer Chen Wen-che (陳文哲) with live gong and drum music, allowing the audience to experience the layered dramatic energy through a dual audio-visual feast.
