The Beauty of Metaphor - Shih Cheng-tse (施承澤) Abstract Sculpture Exhibition

Date: 2026-06-04 — 2026-07-05 Organizer: 施承澤
This exhibition presents the recent creative achievements of sculptor Shih Cheng-tse (施承澤). The artist excels at transforming internal perceptions through abstract vocabulary, integrating fluid aesthetic forms into his works, and meticulously weaving personal emotions and memories into sculptural expression. His creations capture fleeting moments through abstract techniques, with works rich in poetic atmosphere, evoking emotional resonance and deep contemplation in viewers.
Starting from his own life experiences and cultural reflections, Shih Cheng-tse (施承澤) uses visual elements such as color, form, and texture to interpret the beauty of shifting light and shadow, rhythmic cadence, and the relationship of volumes. His work is deeply influenced by 20th-century Futurism and Constructivism, emphasizing the visual tension of dynamic energy and continuous movement, showcasing an exploration of kinetic aesthetics and a transformation of natural forces. The works often challenge gravitational limits with unique balanced postures, like dance poses frozen in an instant, achieving a delicate balance between stillness and motion, presenting a restrained yet powerful contemporary expression.
This exhibition features 15 of Shih Cheng-tse (施承澤)'s latest creations from the past three years, organized into three thematic units: "Natural Landscapes," "Plant Portraits," and "Flowing Scenery." Through the design of the exhibition route, it guides visitors step by step into the artist's creative context, unfolding a viewing experience that integrates visual and spiritual elements as they walk and observe.
