Taichung City Library Hsing-an Branch ~ Diverse Reading/Story Volunteer Book Club (Year 115)

Co-organized with the Taichung Shan-hai-tun Story Association, this event systematically explores and studies the structure and contextual content of books, guiding participants to deeply understand textual composition, narrative pacing, and thematic arrangement. It also further discusses the roles and perspectives of illustrators, authors, and publishers in the process of book creation and publication, helping participants understand the interactive relationship between text and images and the publication's positioning, thereby cultivating diverse reading perspectives.
The activity will also focus on the core values and spiritual essence carried by the books themselves, contemplating how stories respond to life experiences, emotional education, and social concerns, and transforming these into storytelling content with warmth. Through practical exercises and exchanges, participants will learn and extend diverse book introduction techniques, such as question guidance, situational connection, image interpretation, and cross-age reading strategies, to promote reading comprehension and interaction.
The hope is to encourage more people to actively participate in social service, join the ranks of library volunteers, and jointly promote a gentle yet profound blueprint for reading.
