Sweet Dew

Water of Immortality is a documentary about the 1921 marble statue created by Taiwan's first modern sculptor, Huang Tu-shui. The film traces the statue's journey through Taiwan's history by following the Chang family, who guarded it for over sixty years, and Professor Lin Man-li, who facilitated its rediscovery. Directors Lin Chunni and Huang Pang-chuan employ 16mm film to echo the texture of the marble, combining firsthand interviews and historical research to capture the enduring spirit of Taiwanese art.
