Special Exhibition: Tree of Life - The Creations of Hung Tung (洪通) and Taoist Folk Art (生命之樹－洪通創作與道教民間藝術)

The Mongolian and Tibetan Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture is dedicated to connecting Mongolian and Tibetan culture with Taiwan's local context. Hoping to present diverse exhibition appearances through collaboration with local artists and religious beliefs, it has curated the exhibition "Tree of Life: The Creations of Hung Tung and Taoist Folk Art." By showcasing the legendary Taiwanese naive painter Hung Tung (洪通) and Taoist folk art, the exhibition reveals the common spiritual essence of Taiwanese commoner culture. This exhibition places Hung Tung's paintings in dialogue with folk Taoist artifacts, allowing viewers to see how art and religion nourish each other within the context of folk Taoist beliefs, and thereby experience the spiritual charm emitted by folk beliefs through artistic expression.
