[Silk Strings Affection LXXIV] Owen Underhill and Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra
The [Silk Strings Affection LXXIV] concert is hosted by the Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra, specially inviting the renowned Canadian conductor and composer Owen Underhill to serve as guest conductor and program planner. The concert focuses on works by Underhill and Taiwanese-Canadian composers such as Ho Ping-yi (何冰頤), Chang Pei-shan (張珮珊), and Li Chih-chun (李志純), performed jointly by bassoonist Chiang Ying-ching (姜瑩菁), sheng player Huang Yu-chien (黃宇謙), and the orchestra, presenting a contemporary Chinese Orchestra style that blends Taiwanese characteristics with an international perspective.
