Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra – Flute and Trombone Masterclass
Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra – Flute and Trombone Masterclass
On the occasion of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra's third visit to the Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts in 2026, two special masterclasses are planned, focusing on flute and trombone respectively, providing music students with the opportunity for close learning and exchange with international musicians.
The flute session will be personally instructed by Rotterdam Philharmonic Principal Flutist Juliette HUREL, sharing her rich performance experience and musical interpretation; the trombone session will be taught jointly by three members of the section, including Principal Pierre VOLDERS, as well as Remko DE JAGER and Rommert GROENHOF, offering comprehensive and diverse teaching content.
The trombone masterclass adopts a format of joint instruction by three teachers, approaching from different angles, covering aspects such as tone control, technique application, and musical expression, providing a more comprehensive learning perspective.
In addition to accepting applications for selected students to receive instruction, this masterclass also offers observer slots, allowing more participants to personally experience the teaching style of international musicians and the atmosphere of live exchange. Music learners and enthusiasts at different stages are welcome to participate.
