Powerchip 2026 Arts Feast - Chopin Project: Childhood & Youth (1817–1831)

Date: 2026-08-12
The "2026 Chopin Project" is a unique journey that uses time as its axis to review Chopin's life through his musical works. This session, "Childhood & Youth," is led by pianist Yeh Lu-na (葉綠娜), presenting Chopin's early works from his Warsaw period, including Polonaises, Mazurkas, and Piano Sonata No. 1, showcasing his emerging personal vocabulary and national sentiment from classical forms. This concert specially gathers outstanding new-generation Taiwanese pianists selected through an open audition. The interpretive dialogue between performers of different generations unveils a vibrant and contrasting musical prologue for the audience.
