Permanent Exhibition: "Tahsi Soulmate" at the Tahsi Revitalization Hall

Date: 2026-01-01 — 2026-12-31 Organizer: 桃園市立大溪木藝生態博物館
Get to know the people of Tahsi, participate in their lives, become one of them — welcome to the "Tahsi Soulmate" exhibition!
The term "soulmate" can refer to "a close friend who understands you," or it can mean "knowing oneself": the process of building an identity with things, the environment, etc., and developing oneself.
The exhibition is titled "Tahsi Soulmate," hoping that through more diverse and vivid methods, every visitor can see Tahsi from different appearances and perspectives. Through the concept of an eco-museum, it breaks traditional exhibition formats, providing visitors with an unprecedented viewing experience: in the exhibition, you can meet contemporary Tahsi residents, see Tahsi's past and present, its developmental context, and even have the chance to interact with AI technology to record, imagine, and create Tahsi's future, advancing to become a part of Tahsi.
Welcome to the "Tahsi Soulmate" exhibition. May you find a soulmate in Tahsi and become a soulmate of Tahsi!

Extra Chapter: Witness the Tahsi they are creating!
In today's Tahsi, "creation" is still in progress!
These Tahsi soulmates are the curators of "Street Corner Museums" and also co-learning partners with the Wood Art Museum. They are friendly Tahsi Good Friends and also practitioners who take action to bring change to Tahsi.

Let's follow the exhibition and step into Tahsi's timber mill to explore the transformation process from logs to lumber. Through the exhibition's five themes: "Mountain Forest Logs," "Selecting and Sourcing Wood," "Drying into Lumber," "Craftsmanship into Objects," and "New Possibilities for the Timber Industry," see the artisan spirit of timber masters in selecting and cutting logs, sharpening saw blades, and drying lumber, and rediscover the ubiquitous wood in our lives.
