Opera: Cavalleria Rusticana (鄉村騎士)
La Voix d'AMiS Art Ensemble, together with the Kaohsiung City Government Vocal Chorus and the Chian-Feng Opera Chorus, presents Mascagni's classic verismo opera "Cavalleria Rusticana" at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying). Under the baton and direction of conductor-director Liu Sheng-fu, soprano Sun Yun-hsuan, tenor Shih Lu-cheng, and other leading vocalists join the LVA Opera Chamber Orchestra and a hundred-voice chorus to bring the Sicilian tale of love, betrayal, and revenge to life. This powerful production, renowned for its intense emotion and sweeping orchestral-choral passages, is a rare operatic highlight in southern Taiwan.
