[New Moon Lecture] Ink-Dyed Homeland: Local Aesthetics of Modern Ink Painting

Date: 2026-05-22 — 2026-09-18 Organizer: 劉瑩
In 2026, on 5/22, 6/05, 7/17, 8/28, 9/18 (Friday) at 2:00 PM or 7:00 PM, you are welcome to join Teacher Liu to learn about and appreciate the local aesthetics of modern and contemporary ink painting!

When traditional ink painting enters modern life, what sparks will it ignite?
Ink painting is not only about painting ancient moods; in modern and contemporary times, it is also an ink experiment connecting with the land, life, and the soul.

Teacher Liu Ying (劉瑩) has selected five ink painters: Kuan Liang (關良)'s theatrical childlike charm, Huang Chun-pi (黃君璧)'s magnificent mountains and clouds, Chen Chi-kwan (陳其寬)'s dynamic space, Lu Shou-kun (呂壽琨)'s Zen innovation, and Fang Chao-ling (方召麐)'s robust and rustic charm, to lead everyone to further understand how these painters express their emotions toward the land and life through ink, and how they have developed innovative and unique personal styles from traditional ink painting!
