Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence Series Activities - Promotional Workshop: Brooch Accessory Making (2 Sessions)
The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Nantou County Government, in order to promote the appreciation of fine arts and foster local artistic innovation and development, is holding the "Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence" activity, hoping to drive local cultural and artistic atmosphere through artist residency. The "Nantou County Artists Archive" is a comprehensive cultural facility that repurposes the Wu-teh Hall (武德殿) and surrounding historic buildings, and is registered as a historic building.
This year's artist-in-residence is Teacher Chen Chiung-ju (陳瓊茹), with the residency plan titled "The Form of Carrying: The Co-construction of Ceramics and Heterogeneous Materials," and will hold a special exhibition - "The Realm of Crown Art: Chen Chiung-ju Creation Exhibition," promotional activities, creative demonstrations, etc. Teacher Chen Chiung-ju was born in Nantou, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Creative Life Design at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, is the founding president of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute Formosa Ceramics Research Association, served as the secretary-general of the Nantou County Ceramic Art Association, a lecturer in the professional ceramic talent cultivation program at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, was selected in the Taiwan Craft Competition, was a finalist in the 41st International Ceramics Competition "L'Alcora" in Spain, won the Taiwan New Ceramics Award for New Ceramic Studio Excellence Award/Selection, and has held numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Each session is limited to 15 people, each person may register for only one session.
