Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence Series Activities - Promotional Workshops: Mug Making, Round Coaster Making, Square Coaster Making (3 Sessions)
The Nantou County Government Cultural Bureau, in order to promote the appreciation of fine arts and foster local artistic innovation and development, is holding the "Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence" activity, hoping to invigorate local cultural and artistic atmosphere through artist residencies. The "Nantou County Artists Archive" is a comprehensive cultural facility repurposed from the Wu-te Hall (武德殿) and surrounding historic buildings, and is registered as a historic building.
This year's artist-in-residence is Teacher Chen Chiung-ju (陳瓊茹), whose residency plan is titled "The Form of Carrying: The Co-construction of Ceramics and Heterogeneous Materials," and includes a special themed exhibition - "The Realm of Crown Art: Chen Chiung-ju's Creative Exhibition" (冠藝之境—陳瓊茹創作展), promotional activities, and creative demonstrations. Teacher Chen Chiung-ju was born in Nantou, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Creative Life Design at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, is the founding president of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute's Formosa Ceramics Research Association, has served as the Secretary-General of the Nantou County Ceramic Art Association, a lecturer for the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center's Professional Ceramic Talent Cultivation Program, was selected for the Taiwan Craft Competition, was a finalist in Spain's "41st L'Alcora International Ceramic Competition," won the Excellence Award/Selection in the Taiwan New Ceramics Award for Innovative Ceramic Studios, and has held numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Each session is limited to 15 people, and each person may register for only one session.
