Established in 1954 (43rd Year of the Republic of China), the Ministry of National Defense Demonstration Band is composed of elite military musicians. Its Brass Ensemble showcases refined artistry with superb technique. This performance features a selection of classics: including Grainger's folk-inspired "Lincolnshire Posy," the passionate and tense "Los Hijos de Sanchez," and the jazz standard "Spain," infused with the soul of Flamenco. Highly recommended is the suite "Homage to the Noble Grape," which transforms music into glasses of wine, from the lightness of champagne to the richness of fino, outlining the rich and varied tonal qualities of brass.
