Miaoli Hakka Treasure Class - Hakka-Related Workshops (April-June 2026)
To help the public get to know Miaoli Hakka culture in a friendly and interesting way, the "Miaoli Hakka Treasure Class: 100 Whys Unlocking Miaoli Memories" special exhibition uses the classroom scenario of "enrollment-class-graduation" as its framework. Through five major thematic courses and 100 question designs, it guides the public to re-understand Miaoli's landscapes, industries, settlements, beliefs, and life memories in a simple, relaxed, and interactive manner.
In conjunction with the exhibition, one Hakka-related workshop is planned each month. From April to June, there are: "Carrying Mountain Songs with You" Silk-Screen Tote Bag DIY (April 11), "Fanning a Hakka Breeze" Hakka Floral Cloth Fan (May 9), and "Dong Dong Dong! Hakka is Singing" Hakka Floral Cloth Rattle Drum DIY (June 13). Continuing the spirit of the exhibition, these workshops transform the Miaoli Hakka culture and life memories presented in the exhibition into participatory hands-on experiences, inviting the public to deepen their understanding of Hakka culture through practical operation!
The workshops are free to attend. Adults and children are welcome to sign up together. For registration and event information, please visit the official website of the Miaoli County Government Culture and Tourism Bureau at https://www.mlc.gov.tw/, the "Miaoli Arts" Facebook fan page, or contact Ms. Cho of Wendesign at 03-5200852, or Ms. Hsieh of the Culture and Tourism Bureau's Hakka Affairs Section at 037-352961 ext. 319.
