'Metamorphosis of the Butterfly, Deep in the Strings' Concert

The 'Metamorphosis of the Butterfly, Deep in the Strings' concert is organized by the Kaohsiung City Philharmonic Culture and Arts Foundation and performed by the KCO Youth Chinese Orchestra. The first half of the concert features three young performers presenting several concertos of varying styles. The second half specially invites the renowned gaohu master Cheng Hsiao-mei (鄭曉玫) and the emerging cellist Lin Hsuan-chin (林玄晉) to jointly perform the classic double concerto 'The Butterfly Lovers,' delicately portraying the moving love story through the interweaving of Chinese and Western instruments. This is a splendid performance showcasing the deep timbre of traditional instruments and contemporary innovation.
