Lecture: 'Black Hair on the Rocks - The Cultural Heritage and Life Applications of Laver on Gupoyu Island'
Inviting National Penghu University of Science and Technology lecturer Hsu Chen-feng (徐振豐) to serve as the instructor. Using the unique perspective of 'folk science,' he will interpret how this sea field has nourished generations of Chikan people. The course content covers two main topics: 'Purple Threads Tempered by Cold Waves' and 'Traces of All Things Hidden in Algae.' It guides participants, starting from the laver on the dining table, to explore the glamorous transformation of seaweed in modern beauty, health, and environmental industries. Through the expert's in-depth guidance and interactive exchange, the originally dry subject of phycology is translated into tangible applications in everyday life, allowing participants to re-examine marine resources in their daily lives.
