LEARPRINT Neiwei Sound Experiment: A 65-Channel Symphony Experience

Date: 2026-01-01 — 2026-12-31 Organizer: ALAIN FRANÇAIS;高雄市交響樂團;高雄市國樂團
"LEARPRINT Neiwei Sound Experiment: A 65-Channel Symphony Experience" is the work of French sound field designer and acoustic creator Alain Français. At first glance, it appears to be composed of simple, pure white speakers, seemingly unremarkable. But when you walk among the speakers, you will perceive the incredibly clear sound of each instrument. Each speaker is like a real instrument playing right by your ear. Unlike listening to digital music, it adds a sense of three-dimensionality and spatial surround, overturning everyone's previous auditory experience and enjoyment.

Kaohsiung is one of the few cities in Taiwan that has both a Chinese and a Western orchestra. In 2016, Alain Français came to Kaohsiung to record nearly 15 orchestral pieces for the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra and the Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra. The composition and instrumental volume expression of Chinese music and Western music are vastly different. This difference inspired him to generate many creative ideas and challenges, transforming speaker technology into an artistic performance. It allows the audience to follow their own curiosity, lift their steps, wander among the 65 speakers, and capture the specific timbre and position of each instrument, as if they were a member of the orchestra's musicians.

Now, when visiting the Neiwei Arts Center, besides appreciating exhibitions, tracing historical footprints, and savoring delicious food, a music revolution is about to begin! "LEARPRINT Neiwei Sound Experiment: A 65-Channel Symphony Experience" breaks down the traditional boundaries between performers and spectators. Viewers are no longer just distant observers. Just as the Neiwei Arts Center breaks down the barriers between art and life, creating more new experiences of daily aesthetics, everyone is invited to linger among the speakers for an unprecedented and wonderful listening feast!
