Lively and cheerful Sato Sachi meets serious and earnest Sato Tamotsu in university. Despite their opposite personalities, they are somehow drawn to each other and begin living together. Five years later, Tamotsu, who aspires to become a lawyer, fails the bar exam. To accompany and support him as he continues self-study for the exam, Sachi also decides to join in studying and challenge the bar exam. Ultimately, Sachi passes the bar exam, while Tamotsu remains unsuccessful. Sachi becomes a lawyer, and Tamotsu continues preparing for the exam while raising their child and doing housework. Even though the two of them should not have changed, somehow, everything in this marriage gradually begins to feel different.
