Jazz He-Sheng Concert Series #04 | 'When Classical Meets Jazz'

The fourth concert of the Jazz He-Sheng Concert Series, 'When Classical Meets Jazz,' is led by French-trained flutist Ou Chia-wen (歐珈妏) and her 'Flute Light Night Shadow Quartet (笛光夜影四重奏),' joined by Golden Melody Award-winning pianist Tseng Tseng-i (曾增譯), versatile musician Fujii Toshimitsu (藤井俊充), and world-class drummer Huang Tzu-yu (黃子瑜). Based on twentieth-century French classical masterpieces, they incorporate contemporary jazz improvisational vocabulary, creating a soundscape of shifting light and shadow between precision and freedom. This cross-contextual deep dialogue reinterprets masterpieces by Debussy and Fauré, presenting an elegant and sparkling contemporary musical experience.
