Ink Scent and Tea Art – A Tea Tasting & Rubbing Texture Experience
The Chung Tai World Museum (中台世界博物館) launches its annual limited-time experience program, "Ink Scent and Tea Art," inviting you to temporarily leave the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in a slow-living moment blending tea and ink. This transforms the museum from a hall of knowledge into a space for healing body and mind. Guided by a specialist, you will quietly savor a cup of fine tea at a meticulously arranged tea ceremony, allowing the warm, mellow aroma to accompany your settling thoughts. Afterwards, you will be invited to create a rubbing yourself—from applying ink and patting to peeling the paper—focusing on the pressure in your hands to feel the charm of ink and paper intertwining.
Through this sensory experience, the history behind the museum's glass will no longer feel distant but will transform into a unique and unforgettable memory. The program offers flexible options for you to arrange your time freely: you can participate in just the tea ceremony or the rubbing, or choose a package that includes lunch, recharging and relaxing at your own pace.
This experience is open for monthly reservations from May to December. We sincerely invite you to step into the museum, enjoy a good cup of tea, and take home a rubbing artwork of your own.
Tea Ceremony Introduction – Learn tea ceremony etiquette and tea culture, experiencing the aesthetics of focus and respect within a cup of tea.
Five-Senses Tea Tasting – Observe the tea's color, smell its aroma, and taste its flavor, experiencing the tea's delicate layers in the present moment.
A Cup of Tea, A Moment of Awareness – Settle your body and mind through tea tasting, meeting yourself in a state of mindfulness.
Ink-Scented Rubbing – Personally experience traditional scroll rubbing to complete your own cultural artwork.
Tea and Ink Blending – Between the scent of tea and the charm of ink, feel the life aesthetic of "tea and Zen as one."
