Indigenous Cultural Park Song and Dance Program: Kaohsiung City Indigenous Tsu-yun Cultural Music and Dance Troupe [Atayal Tribe - Atayal Style Dance]
The Atayal tribe is a people who are optimistic, know their destiny, and live in harmony with nature. Life and labor are inseparable, showcasing the cultural characteristic of 'work is life, life is art.' Natural materials such as bamboo, wood for looms, and xylophones become the best companions for the tribe's creation and entertainment. By striking different rhythms, the music often resonates deeply within the hearts of the tribe. The Atayal are also a people full of romance. The mouth harp is one of the most common instruments at tribal gatherings, serving not only as a tool for self-entertainment and accompaniment but also as a romantic medium for expressing feelings. Men and women respond to each other with the sound of the harp and harmonize with dance, weaving the moving musical chapters that belong to the Atayal.
