Ideas Intertidal Zone - Walking the Path of Faith with Design
Ideas Intertidal Zone Vol.2 Walking the Path of Faith with Design
When design enters a locality, what form does it take?
In the temple courtyards and festivals of Tungkang, how can design贴近生活、respond to acts of faith? Images and codes exist in banners, symbols, routes, and spaces, and also in people's memories and bodily experiences.
This "Ideas Intertidal Zone" lecture invites Fang Tzu-hung (方智弘), founder of Fang Tzu Design, to share how, after returning south, he uses design to respond to local culture and faith practices between Pingtung and Tungkang. From the visual system and special exhibition planning of the Pingtung County Wang Boat Cultural Museum to long-term participation in temple festival scenes and local actions, his work is not just about design form, but about transforming cultural context into narrative design language through fieldwork and on-site participation.
Design becomes a way to connect with locality, understand faith, and重新觀看生活.
