[Hsin-yueh . Music Appreciation] Understanding the Locomotive of the Classical Music Industry - The Symphony (2)

Date: 2026-07-10 — 2026-10-09 Organizer: 彭廣林
The symphony is almost the finale piece in concert halls and performances worldwide. This is because the symphony presents the most complete and macroscopic musical universe in classical instrumental composition.

The ever-changing, powerful sounds of the symphony orchestra touch every soul present, making one live in the moment!

Professor Peng Kuang-lin's (彭廣林) new series of courses will be divided into three stages, starting from the symphonies of the 18th-century Classical period "Father of the Symphony" Haydn—his London symphonies—to the symphonies of the late Romantic Mahler at the beginning of the 20th century. It will sequentially introduce representative composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff.

We will select and analyze their classic symphonies to help you, when watching symphony orchestra performances in the future, naturally visualize the soundscape of the symphony in your mind and empathetically integrate into the spiritual world of the symphony.
