Houli Philharmonic Saxophone Ensemble Annual Showcase

This annual showcase is the blossoming result of the Houli Philharmonic Saxophone Ensemble's year-long dedicated practice. Under the meticulous guidance of instructor Wang Yu-wen, this group of music lovers from all walks of life will present a sonic feast transcending time and borders through the exquisite arrangement of a saxophone quartet.
The performance repertoire is exceptionally rich and diverse. Highlights include:
• Passionate Anime and Japanese Pop Trends: Showcasing the explosive rhythmic power of the saxophone, recreating contemporary melodies full of youthful vitality and a sense of speed.
• Classic Cinema and Musical Theater Epics: Interpreting Hollywood blockbusters and Disney's dreamy movements with a mellow, vocal-like timbre, leading the audience into the narrative space of the big screen.
• Mandarin Golden Oldies and Local Sentiment: Performing numerous popular classics spanning decades and Taiwanese folk songs, finding shared generational memories within familiar melodies.
This concert is not only a stage for the members' self-fulfillment but also a practice of integrating art into daily life.
