Goodbye 1987 (Special Edition)

"Until We Meet Again (Special Edition)" is the gala premiere of the 2026 Taipei Film Festival, directed by Ray Wu and Li Chuan-yang. Set in Taiwan in the summer of 1943, the film follows a rebellious girl and a carefree elite schoolboy who fall in love through a shared anti-colonial ideal, only to be torn apart by the February 28 Incident and the subsequent White Terror; decades later, a letter from South Korea finally uncovers a long-buried secret. Featuring meticulous period costumes and sets, along with powerful performances by Fang Chih-yu and Lin Che-hsi, this film offers a poignant look at ordinary people adrift in the currents of history.
