Forgotten Gems of the Musical Sea IV: The Poet and the Navigator

The Dominant5 Piano Quintet chamber ensemble presents the fourth chapter of the 'Forgotten Gems of the Musical Sea' series, 'The Poet and the Navigator,' focusing on two French composers with vastly different styles: Reynaldo Hahn, whose music is as elegant as poetry, and Jean Cras, whose life was spent with the sea and whose works are full of philosophical thought. The concert will conclude with Ravel's 'Asie,' which depicts an exotic Orient, and will feature live commentary by a professional scholar, leading the audience on a refined and profound musical voyage.
