Fishery Cultural Relics Exhibition

Date: 2026-01-01 — 2026-12-31 Organizer: 彰化區漁會
Permanent Exhibition:
1. Model: Using an actual model of a "sea shack," it presents the landscape of intertidal clam farming. Fishermen use the four to five kilometers of sandy beach exposed at low tide, stake it with Moso bamboo, and build sea shacks for watching over the area and for shelter from wind and rain during rest.
2. Fishery-related cultural relics: Most of the fishery cultural relics and fishing gear used in the past have been phased out. To commemorate the history of early fishery development, the museum also displays traditional fishing gear used in old coastal fishing industries, such as fry buckets, fish traps, fish baskets... etc. There are also display areas for fishing gear materials, fishing navigation instruments, fishing industry gear, and commonly used aquaculture tools.
3. Fish specimens: Through displays of Ribbonfish (Rexea prometheoides), economic fish specimens, and a fish stamp exhibition area, the aim is to promote fishery education.
