DF Modern Music Ensemble – [Curated Series] Penghu Silk and Bamboo 2026 · Huqing

The DF Modern Music Ensemble's "Curated Series" performance "Penghu Silk and Bamboo 2026 · Huqing" draws inspiration from Penghu's landscapes and history, presenting several "Penghu-exclusive" commissioned works. Conductor champion Chang Yu-an (張宇安), who studied in Germany, collaborates with the ensemble, and Penghu's young erhu performer Chiang Ping-chun (蔣秉鈞) premieres the new erhu concerto "Sea Beacon Flowing Fire" (海烽流火), exploring the modern boundaries of traditional instruments. This performance blends pao-ko (褒歌), folk songs, and contemporary compositions, aiming to continue the memory of silk and bamboo in the sea breeze, outlining the island's soundscape and bright vision.
