Chiang Chia-chen Piano Recital: "Instant Sound Images: Holographic Fugue of Structure and Freedom"

Pianist Chiang Chia-chen (江佳蓁) will present a recital blending improvisation and structured works at the Playhouse of the National Taichung Theater (臺中國家歌劇院小劇場). The first half begins with classics by Bach and Chopin, leading into her own "Prelude and Fugue in G minor" and a new work composed during her Berlin residency (Taiwan premiere). The second half consists of four sections—free improvisation, poetry-music improvisation, sound-image improvisation, and interactive improvisation—generating unrepeatable complete pieces on the spot. This performance breaks the traditional recital format, allowing the audience to witness up close the creative process from inspiration to realization, experiencing a holographic fugue where structure and freedom intertwine.
