Chasing Waves, Gathering Light: 2026 Tung-shuo Art Society Members' Joint Exhibition

This exhibition brings together multiple artists, showcasing a total of 38 works covering diverse creative forms such as three-dimensional sculpture, glue color painting, ink wash, watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, and mixed media, presenting a rich and varied contemporary art landscape. The founding purpose of the Tunghai University Department of Fine Arts Master's Program Alumni Art Society is to sustain the creative energy of alumni, provide a platform for continuous artistic expression and exchange, and through exhibitions, consolidate teacher-student bonds, perpetuating Tunghai Fine Arts' profound humanistic spirit and artistic heritage. The society has long encouraged members to maintain their personal creative characteristics, developing artistic practices that balance cultural heritage with contemporary perspectives on the basis of respecting diverse styles. This joint exhibition is specifically inspired by Penghu's culture and natural landscapes. The Penghu Islands, pearls scattered across the Taiwan Strait, possess a unique stone weir culture, magnificent basalt landscapes, azure oceans, and warm, simple human customs, forming a deep and charming cultural foundation. Participating artists take this as their creative core, reinterpreting Penghu's human and natural scenery through artistic language, hoping to establish a deeper emotional connection with this land through their works.
