[Arts & Culture Lecture] Youth Memoir—Popular Classics of Taiwan's 1980s and 1990s

Date: 2026-08-15
As the music industry entered the 1980s, it reached its most prosperous and glorious heyday. Taiwan's popular songs also dominated the entire Mandarin-speaking world for two decades.

Led by music expert Lin Po-chieh (林伯杰), we will recount this period in detail: How were hit after hit born? What influences shaped their creation? And how did local companies and international brands change the broader music ecosystem?

Let's revisit the youth we once lived through and the songs we once sang together, reminiscing about the melodies from the heart.
