[Afternoon Concert 192] The Exotic Sounds of Six Strings

Two internationally renowned guitar masters from Turkey and Italy—Sinan Erşahin (希南·艾爾沙因) and Christian Lavernier (克里斯汀·拉維尼爾)—share the stage for the first time, presenting a musical feast that transcends borders and cultures. Sinan is known for blending Turkish folk music with contemporary compositions, while Lavernier is celebrated internationally for his innovative performance style and modern guitar works.

The concert features selected classics and original works from Turkey, Spain, Argentina, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, showcasing the rich and diverse musical charm of the guitar through folk songs, dances, and tangos. It includes several Taiwan premieres, presenting the unique creative vocabulary and artistic styles of the two masters.

The finale features the two performers collaborating on Piazzolla's "Libertango" and a traditional Turkish folk song, weaving passionate and unrestrained exotic flavors with six strings, leading the audience on a wonderful world music journey.
