65 Craft Festival: Craft Play Theater - Craft Class on the Lawn 'Stagnant Pause—Plaster Creation Workshop' (1 Session)

Date: 2026-06-06 Organizer: 杜昀庭
During the 2026 '65 Craft Festival,' a five-day 'Craft Play Theater' is launched, inviting you to step into the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to experience the diverse facets of crafts in a way that is closer to daily life.
From the outdoor lawn to indoor spaces, through the interweaving of theater, stories, music, and hands-on activities, three main themes are planned: 'Outdoor Hands-on Theater,' 'Indoor Picture Book Music Story,' and 'Craft Class on the Lawn,' allowing different age groups to find their own suitable ways to participate and gradually immerse themselves in the rhythm of crafts in various settings.
Let's step into these spaces, leave our own moments between watching and participating, and bring those personally experienced processes back into our daily lives.

Craft Class on the Lawn 'Stagnant Pause—Plaster Creation Workshop'
~ During the time before it dries, play and create a piece that is just right
During the activity, you will mix plaster with pigment, pour it onto nylon mesh, and let the colors flow and diffuse freely—some areas slowly blending, others building up layers. The image is not decided all at once but gradually emerges through changes.
The plaster does not set immediately; before it completely dries, you can continue to adjust or stop and watch what it becomes on its own. Every choice will be preserved and become part of the artwork.
Let's seize that moment before it solidifies and create your own plaster artwork!
Mix plaster and pigment, feel the material changes
Freely apply and layer on nylon mesh
Observe the process from fluidity to solidification
Complete a unique plaster artwork
