2026 Taitung Arts Festival: Tjimur Dance Theatre Lu Zhi Madilin "The Tiniest Voice?"

Artistic Director Ljuzem Madiljin of the Tjimur Dance Theatre returns to the creative forefront after a decade with the work 'The Faintest Voice?'. This is not a piece about sound, but a live inquiry into 'who can be heard', using contemporary Paiwan physical vocabulary to respond to the silencing of life experiences from women, indigenous communities, and sexual minorities. The work features choreographer Baru Madiljin returning to the stage after 12 years, with music design by Paiwan singer-songwriter Utjung Tjakivalid, drawing the audience into a theatrical space where distance, position, and perception are in constant flux.
