Sun Son Theatre's "The Star Catcher" will meet everyone this June at the [2026 Summer Yilan Theater] ★

₊✶⋆ *Someone is shining in every corner, even if it's a faint light, it gently pierces through the world.₊✶⋆ *

A little child has a simple dream: he wants to catch the stars in the sky! The child embarks on an unknown journey, running and walking, walking and running. Along the way, he meets all sorts of characters—a farmer, a blind person, a painter, and an elderly couple—who one by one join the star-catching quest full of hope, and then one by one leave with blessings. Finally, the child arrives at a lighthouse at the edge of the sky. It is said that if you follow the lighthouse's light, walking and walking, you will reach the homeland of the stars.

Combining drama and live music, this magical, childlike, and interactive performance shows how ordinary life can possess a beautiful, colorful power. With imagination, the courage to dream and pursue dreams, and kindness towards those around them, they discover something warmer than starlight, shining brightly right beside them.

Sun Son Theatre's "picture book-style imagery theater" uses hand-drawn visuals, music, movement, and poetic rhythm, skillfully employing simple props and clown elements to depict a child's dream journey to catch the stars. The performers make their own costumes, paint the sets, and co-create songs—full of "handmade" dedication, unfolding a simple story. It's not just for children, but also for the child within adults, creating a star-filled memory even adults won't forget.
