2026 New Ideas Lab: San Chue Yi Theatre's 'Come Dance a Dance of Death' Work-in-Progress Showing

Artistic director Wei Chun-chan (魏雋展) of San Chue Yi Theatre, collaborating with Cheng Hao (鄭皓) and Wu Pang-chun (吳邦駿), presents 'Come Dance a Dance of Death' in a lecture-performance format, initiating a bodily dialogue between traditional martial arts and contemporary violence. By deconstructing the senses and concepts within martial arts layer by layer, the work leads the audience, from the perspective of theatrical performance, to deeply explore the relationships of power, violence, and oppression in modern society.
