'5678 Nights Ocean Adventure' Parent-Child Dance Workshop
Dance × Story × Creation 5, 6, 7, 8, get ready!
Led personally by dance coordinator Teacher Li Yin-ying (李尹櫻), children aged 6 to 12 are invited to enter the ocean world of 'One Thousand and 5678 Nights' through dance, story, and creation!
With 'body imagination' and 'story guidance' at its core, starting from warm-up🤸, combining music🎵, role-playing, and simple dance💃 choreography, children can experience how dance tells a story and understand how music is transformed into theatrical performance in a relaxed process.
1. Warm-up Activities
Guide children into an active state through simple body stretches and movement.
2. Story Time
Introduce the story background of 'Ocean Adventure' in 'One Thousand and 5678 Nights,' and how composer Rimsky-Korsakov wrote the story into music, inviting children to imagine themselves transforming into various marine creatures.
3. Creative Drawing
Children draw two of their own marine creatures as inspiration for the subsequent movement ideas.
4. Group Presentations
Divide into four groups, transform their respective marine creatures into body movements, and observe and share with each other.
5. Music + Movement Performance
Combine into two large groups, perform with music, and arrange formations and positions. During轮流演出, children not on stage sit in the audience seats, experiencing the theatrical feeling of 'being an audience.'
6. Closing Sharing
Introduce how this theater production developed the entire musical piece into a complete stage performance.
