1626: The Embers of Devil's Point

The Glimmer Early Music Ensemble and Belgium's Endless Early Music Ensemble collaborate once more across borders to present the closing concert for the 400th anniversary of Spain's arrival in Taiwan. The performance features a selection of 17th-century Spanish secular early music and major works for the Marian Mass, with special additions including Filipino vocalists and various Renaissance woodwind and brass instruments. Through a musical journey of the Age of Discovery, it leads the audience to experience the intertwined history and cultural heritage of Manila and Taiwan's San Salvador City.
