115-Year Hakka Storytelling Event: Puli Session (June 115 - 2 Sessions)

Date: 2026-06-13 — 2026-06-27 Organizer: 莊鈺惠
To implement the grassroots promotion of the Hakka language and create an immersive Hakka environment, the Nantou County Hakka Development Office (南投縣客家發展所) is organizing the "115-Year Hakka Storytelling Event." A total of 40 sessions are planned for this year, with some campus sessions already starting in May. From June to October, 15 sessions will be held at the Puli Township Library (埔里鎮立圖書館) and the Shuili Township (水里鄉) community. Everyone is welcome to come listen to stories and speak Hakka!

The event features a selection of high-quality picture books suitable for children. Instructors will share stories primarily in Hakka, supplemented by Mandarin, and incorporate finger rhymes, interactive games, and other extension activities. The picture book content is presented in a lively and engaging manner to attract children into the story情境, allowing them to naturally encounter and learn Hakka in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Admission is free, and no registration is required. In addition to listening to wonderful stories, participating children have the chance to receive exquisite small gifts (limited quantities). Parents are warmly encouraged to bring their children to participate actively.

Speaker: Chuang Yu-hui (莊鈺惠)
June 27 / "Gobble Up Half" (大口大口吃掉一半)
