115 Miaoli County Hakka Deep-Rooted Service Plan: Hakka Storytelling Activity (2 sessions)
To promote the grassroots development of the Hakka language, the "115 Miaoli County Hakka Deep-Rooted Service Plan" hosted by the Miaoli County Government will launch a lively and interesting "Hakka Storytelling Activity" from May 30 to August 30. Hakka-speaking families who have been recognized by the Hakka Affairs Council, as well as adults and children, are invited to listen to stories, learn Hakka, and play while learning! This activity enters communities, libraries, and parent-child spaces, using picture book reading, fun interactions, hands-on DIY, cultural walking tours, and situational experiences to guide parents and children in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere to engage with the Hakka language and local culture. Through different themed sessions, children can naturally learn Hakka while listening to stories, playing games, and doing hands-on activities. Parents can also rediscover the charm and emotional connection of Hakka cultural life through their participation. Modern families mostly communicate in Mandarin, leading to the rapid loss of mother-tongue culture. To continue promoting the inheritance and development of Hakka, Miaoli County has planned a series of Hakka storytelling activities, hoping to let the public naturally encounter Hakka through lively, life-oriented methods, and through story interactions, learn about Miaoli's local cultural characteristics, further enhancing their identification with Hakka and local culture, and jointly creating a Hakka-friendly environment.
